Join our team!

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Therapist or Associate Therapist to join our team as an independent contractor (1099). This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility to see clients via telehealth. The primary responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions and completing documentation.

We are currently only seeking applicants with specialized knowledge in working with LGBTQ+ populations and/or neurodivergent populations (specifically autism).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy to clients (adolescents and/or adults) in a hybrid setting (in-person and telehealth).

  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, etc.).

  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in accordance with state licensing boards.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and collaborate with the practice’s administrative team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Licensure or Associate Status: Must hold (or be working toward) one of the following: LCMHC, LMFT, LPCC

  • Experience with LGBTQ+ populations: Demonstrable expertise in LGBTQ+-affirming care, including gender-affirming therapy, queer relationships, and trauma-informed approaches.

  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable using or learning how to use: EHR systems (we use Sessions Health), conducting Telehealth sessions, prompt email communication.

  • Self-motivated: Ability to manage a caseload independently while adhering to practice policies. Proactive in resolving scheduling issues, seeking consultation as needed, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Growth Mindset and Humility: Given the context of the populations we serve and the roles we hold, it is crucial that candidates are willing and interested in growing as clinicians and people. Investigating power structures and the systems we operate within are daily aspects of this role, and sometimes that includes learning where we’ve been making mistakes or overlooking our own privilege.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training in supporting marginalized groups, trauma therapy modalities.
