I’m so glad you’re here.

Remy Gritta, LCMHCA (she/her)

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a deep commitment to supporting adults navigating PTSD, mood disorders, trauma, and the profound journey of identity exploration. My approach is integrative, which means I blend several evidence-based techniques to meet your unique needs.

Weaving through all of this is a focus on mindfulness and somatic awareness. Before becoming a counselor, I spent over a decade in holistic wellness as a massage therapist, yoga teacher, and meditation facilitator. This history allows me to bring a whole-person, compassionate lens to our work, helping you develop a deeper, more grounded understanding of your body and its messages, and ultimately, to create a sense of safety within yourself.

Commitment to Affirming Care

I believe that representative and affirming care is essential! As a member of both the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities, I celebrate the opportunity to work with individuals exploring their identity—whether it’s gender, sexuality, or neurotype (like ADHD or autism).

I have walked with clients through the anxiety and isolation that can accompany self-discovery, the very real fears of living authentically in challenging environments, and the empowering process of developing skills to understand and relate to one's "neurospicy" brain. You can expect me to approach our work with cultural humility, deep respect, and an understanding that comes from shared lived experience.

Healing is about reconnecting with your own innate wisdom and strength. If you feel that my approach and experience could be a good fit for you, I invite you to reach out! It would be an honor to walk alongside you.

My Approach

My foundation is person-centered, built on the core beliefs that you are the expert of your own experience and that healing flourishes in a relationship grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. From this foundation, I incorporate practical tools from:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills for emotional regulation and navigating distressing moments.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to cultivate psychological flexibility and help you live a life aligned with your values.
